In a world redefined by the pandemic, the home has evolved from a sanctuary to a versatile space, catering to work, leisure, and social activities. Against this backdrop, our design concept emerged, harmonizing architecture and flow to foster familial unity. The interior palette is dominated by creamy tones, punctuated by warm white lighting and Scandinavian-style furniture. Simple lines blend with assorted curves to generate a balanced, inviting atmosphere. Linear lighting transcends its utilitarian role, elevating each moment into an elegant vignette. Together, these elements orchestrate an ambiance that is both calming and stable, ideal for the multifaceted demands of work and home life. Stone walls have been replaced with glass to make the space more transparent, broadening the field of vision. To enhance spatial depth, curves are utilized at various angles. This open-concept area also allows for visual access to what children are doing, enabling them to play nearby without disrupting meetings. Functionality is at the forefront, evidenced by dual U-shaped corridors linking diverse zones. Each space maintains a sense of enclosure yet remains interconnected, maximizing usability. A semi-high partition skillfully separates the dining and living areas, integrating a TV wall on one side and a small conferencing monitor on the other. Reflective stone and matte milk-white paint distinctively define the moods of these zones. Adjacent to the dining area is a versatile space encased in glass curtains, suitable for various activities like dancing, sports, or serving as a children's playroom or guest room. A mirrored sliding door conceals ample storage and amplifies spatial dimensions through its reflective qualities. With young children in mind, the space incorporates rounded and angled edges. Textured mineral paint not only ensures health but also exudes a subtle, radiant glow under different lighting conditions. Eco-friendly materials underscore the design's commitment to sustainability. Conceived amid pandemic constraints, the design is increasingly relevant in the evolving, post-pandemic landscape. It adapts to various needs—from hosting large gatherings to morphing into an elegant mini-bar at night, meeting the fluctuating demands of a post-pandemic world.
