TOP CHARITY is one of Europe’s most impactful luxury philanthropic initiatives, bringing together philanthropy, contemporary art and business to create real, long-term change. What began as a bold idea has grown into an international platform that shows generosity, culture and responsibility can operate within one shared ecosystem.
Founded by Omenaa Mensah and Rafał Brzoska, widely recognised as Poland’s leading philanthropic couple, TOP CHARITY was created to move beyond traditional charity models. Instead of one-off gestures, the initiative focuses on building durable systems that support education, culture and social development over time.
Art plays a central role in this vision. TOP CHARITY is the first philanthropic event in Europe to promote African contemporary artists on such a large and visible scale. Through its art programme, the initiative has presented creators recognised by ArtReview Power 100, including Ibrahim Mahama, one of the most influential contemporary artists of his generation. Long-term collaboration with curator Rita Mawuena Benissan has helped build lasting bridges between African creativity and European audiences, institutions and collectors, while placing cultural dialogue at the heart of philanthropy.
The impact of TOP CHARITY is both cultural and tangible. Since its launch, the initiative has raised over €33 million, including approximately €14 million in 2025 alone, supporting projects in education, social inclusion and culture in Poland and internationally. Funds raised through the event are shared via the Philanthropic Consortium, established within TOP CHARITY as Europe’s first cooperative platform for foundations. This model promotes collaboration rather than competition and ensures that resources are allocated strategically and responsibly.
At the heart of the initiative is Omenaa Mensah’s leadership. Polish-Ghanaian by heritage, she is the Founder and President of the Omenaa Foundation and the OmenaArt Foundation. She serves on Tate Modern’s Africa Acquisitions Committee and sits on juries of international awards, including the Yaa Asantewaa Art Prize, promoting Ghanaian women artists globally. Her vision has shaped TOP CHARITY into more than an event and a movement inspiring others worldwide.
Today, TOP CHARITY stands as a symbol of modern philanthropy: ambitious, inclusive, culturally aware and built to create lasting impact across generations everywhere globally together now.
