Located in Taipei’s Wenshan District, the residence belongs to a couple who value quality and rhythm in life. The designer proposed the theme of “the rhythm of opening and enclosure in daily living,” responding to modern urban dwellers’ longing for calmness and flexibility amid a hustle city. The overall style is refined and elegant, allowing the boundaries between spaces to expand and contract freely so that work, rest, and family time can shift naturally, shaping a rhythm of life that breathes and reflects. The most distinctive feature of the design lies in the “duality of space.” In response to modern living patterns, a home should not exist in only one mode. The study is defined by a sliding glass door and motorized curtains—when open, it connects seamlessly with the social area, presenting openness and spaciousness; when closed, it becomes a quiet workspace that ensures focus without distraction. This transformation mechanism allows daily life to switch effortlessly between movement and stillness, symbolizing the breathing rhythm of living. Another highlight is the multifunctional room, which serves as both a yoga and relaxation space. The bed can be fully folded into the wall, freeing the area for exercise. This flexibility realizes a true balance between “motion” and “stillness.” The entire residence is also equipped with a luxury-level kitchen and audio systems, turning every gathering or moment of leisure into a refined, hotel-like experience.
